A picture of former Silver Springs mermaid Betty Frazee was photographed by local photographer Bruce Mozert in the 50’s. “This is the first time we’ve had all the girls, except Mary Thomas, together,” Mozert said Wednesday afternoon, September 1, 2010 at the Piccadilly restaurant. Four of the former Silver Springs mermaids gathered for lunch and remembered the good ol’ times when they worked at Silver Springs. “I could hold my breath for 3-4 minutes. I didn’t ever smoke,” local photographer Bruce Mozert said Wednesday afternoon, September 1, 2010 at the Piccadilly restaurant while holding his first underewater camera housing. “This is the first time we’ve had all the girls except Mary Thomas together. These were our favorite girls to photograph” Four of the former Silver Springs mermaids gathered for lunch and remembered the good ol’ times and told stories about when they worked at Silver Springs. Former Silver Springs mermaid and model Arrilla Jones Milby remembers a story about having to be photographed with a “tame” bear. “He licked me from my chin to my head,” Milby said. Local photographer Bruce Mozert gathered with four of the former Silver Springs mermaids Wednesday afternoon September 1, 2010 at the Piccadilly restaurant. They gathered for lunch and remembered the good ol’ times when they worked at Silver Springs.
